A Vegan Burger Recipe Like No Other

Ingredients: 

  • Chopped onion
  • Parsley
  • Chopped Red bell pepper
  • Soaked Chickpeas drained and left to dry
  • Tomato puree
  • Garam Masala
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Chopped Green Chillies
  • Fresh lettuce
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sauces like Chipotle Southwest, Mayonnaise, Mint Mayo, Mustard Sauce etc
  • Plain flour
  • Cornflour
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Oil

Procedure:

  • In a grinder, add chickpeas, onion, parsley, chopped red bell pepper and grind till it becomes a thick and rough mixture. Mash this mix till it becomes uniform. 
  • Add garam masala and salt and mix again. Then add tomato puree, and flour and a bit of cornflour and fold this into a thick mixture.
  • Let this rest for about 30-40 minutes.
  • Take parts of the mixture and form tikki or patty-like shape. Then roll these patties in breadcrumbs and fry.
  • You can shallow fry, deep-fry or air-fry these patties according to your preference. 
  • For a crispy patty, deep fry, for a smoky, burnt flavour, use the shallow-fry method. And for minimal oil usage and other health benefits, go for air-frying.

  • Make sure to toast the burger buns. Use butter or ghee.
