Ingredients:
- Chopped onion
- Parsley
- Chopped Red bell pepper
- Soaked Chickpeas drained and left to dry
- Tomato puree
- Garam Masala
- Red Chilli Powder
- Chopped Green Chillies
- Fresh lettuce
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sauces like Chipotle Southwest, Mayonnaise, Mint Mayo, Mustard Sauce etc
- Plain flour
- Cornflour
- Breadcrumbs
- Oil
Procedure:
- In a grinder, add chickpeas, onion, parsley, chopped red bell pepper and grind till it becomes a thick and rough mixture. Mash this mix till it becomes uniform.
- Add garam masala and salt and mix again. Then add tomato puree, and flour and a bit of cornflour and fold this into a thick mixture.
- Let this rest for about 30-40 minutes.
- Take parts of the mixture and form tikki or patty-like shape. Then roll these patties in breadcrumbs and fry.
- You can shallow fry, deep-fry or air-fry these patties according to your preference.
- For a crispy patty, deep fry, for a smoky, burnt flavour, use the shallow-fry method. And for minimal oil usage and other health benefits, go for air-frying.
