Recently a whole lot of choir concerts Orange County were put on and attended by all kinds of people. In the audience one could find old people, young people, children, a few babies with their parents, people of all colors, all religions and all denominations. The audiences were diverse and beautiful. During the intermission and at the end of the concerts people were asked what they thought of the music and how they were feeling. And apart from the babies, because they cannot talk, everyone said they felt calm, relaxed and joyous, all at the same time. Moms said they were amazed at how calm and quiet their babies and children were, and all adults said they felt their worries just drop away. Music soothes the brain and the body, and all emotional and physical pain.
Music and relaxation
Think of the first time you were introduced to music. Perhaps it was choir concerts that your parents took you to, perhaps it was nursery rhymes or lullabies that your mom sang to you. Many moms sing to their babies while they are still in the womb and studies have shown that if you expose your baby to music, singing to them or playing music to them, they are calm and their brains react to music (in utero too) and calms them down. Music does the same for all ages. As an adult I always listen to music, classical, choral, the blues, and sometimes reggae. They all have a good effect on me. It does not matter what kind of music you choose to listen to, heavy metal might be your thing, but music brings out emotions, it makes a person feel, it soothes and it relaxes.
Try and attend the next lot of choir concerts Orange County and take your family with you. You will all love them.
