DJs for all season should know survival tricks for all seasons. November and December are the months of the year that DJs get a lot of gigs. DJ enquiries come in large numbers and there are a few things that drive this such as the end of year events like Christmas celebrations and the warmer weather. Today, I share tips that will help DJs prepare for the busy season.
Leave early
If you are used to leaving one hour early, try and leave at least one and a half hours earlier. Remember this is a high season and a lot of people are travelling. Kids are out of school and parents are busy taking their children on vacations. This means that the road will be busy and you are likely to get stuck in traffic. The best DJs Melbourne are keen on time and will do anything to be among the first people to arrive at the venue.
Reconfirm details
You may have spoken to your client previously but there is no harm in contacting them again to reconfirm the details. Reconfirming for details is different from asking for the details again. If you ask for details again, this will portray you as a person who is not organised. You could just make a quick call and confirm to your client that you will be showing up to their event.
Get the name of the venue
DJs for all season should always get the name of the venue right especially during the high season when people are excited to have fun. You should also have the contacts of the venue. You might have the venue but if you don’t have the contacts, you might not be able to find the entrance to the venue. You might even be denied from entering the venue if you don’t talk to the right people.
