Tips to make perfect chicken curry

Chicken is everyone’s favourite dish. We can make various culinary dishes with chicken, like Chicken Biryani, Chicken Do-Piyaza, Chicken Curry, Chicken Kebab, Chicken Tandoori, and many more. The chicken curry recipe is given below so that you can make the best chicken curry at your home.

Chicken Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 sachet of MAGGI Masala-ae-Magic
  • 2 tablespoon of Oil
  • 2 chopped Onion
  • 1 teaspoon of Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 2 chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 piece of Cinnamon
  • 3 Green Cardamoms
  • 5 Cloves
  • 1 tablespoon of Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
  • 750 gms. of chicken (cut into pieces)
  • 2/3 cup of beaten Dahi
  • Salt according to taste
  • 2 cups of Water
  • 5 tablespoons of chopped Coriander Leaves

Method 

  • Prepare all the ingredients.
  • Heat oil in the pressure cooker.
  • Add green cardamom, green cinnamon, chopped onions, and cloves into a pan and fry till they become golden brown.
  • Add garlic and ginger paste and fry for more 5 minutes.
  • Next, add tomatoes and sauté till they become soft.
  • Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, and turmeric powder and fry them for 2 minutes.
  • Now add the chicken pieces and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Next, add the beaten Dahi and stir well.
  • Now add water, salt, MAGGI Masala-ae-Magic, and cook on high flame till the 1st whistle blows.
  • After the 1st whistle, cook on low flame for 5 minutes more.
  • Garnish the chicken with coriander leaves and serve hot.

Apart from chicken curry, people also love mutton curry. The recipe is quite similar to chicken curry. It is given below:

Mutton Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds goat
  • 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger paste
  • 2 teaspoons of coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons of Garam Masala powder
  • Salt (according to taste)
  • Coriander (chopped) for garnishing
  • 1 sachet of MAGGI Masala-ae-Magic

Method 

  • Heat the oil in a pan.
  • Add onions and fry them till they become brown.
  • Grind the onion and keep it in a separate container.
  • Grind garlic, tomatoes, and ginger together and keep in another bowl.
  • Sauté the onion paste for 2 minutes.
  • Add the tomato mixture along with all other powders and mix well.
  • Sauté it until the oil starts to separate from it.
  • Add the meat to the mixture and sauté until it becomes brown.
  • Add water, salt, and MAGGI Masala-ae-Magic to it and cook till the meat becomes tender.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot.
